You MUST have a Burro to register. request thru the "Reserve a Burro to Run" at redonkulousranch.Held in the heart of the historic Cripple Creek and Victor Mining District and in conjunction with the Victor Gold Rush Days https://www.victorgoldrushdays.com/, the oldest continuously held festival in Colorado, the Victor Pack Burro Race offers a short but challenging day of Pack Burro Racing. The 7.3-mile course starts and finishes in the heart of Victor on Victor Avenue. The course has 1,100 feet of elevation gain with lots of ups and downs, uneven footing, fantastic views, and passes by historic mine sites. Please be certain to study the course map. While the course is well-marked, there are several intersecting trails and roads along the route. Bib pick-up and day of race registration starts at 10:00 a.m., race begins at 12:00 p.m. We would also love for you to participate in our Gold Rush Days Parade that begins at 11:00 a.m.
All racers will receive a finishers prize, a free lunch, and free race photos provided by Pack Burro Racing Photographers at pbrphotos.org. This year the prize will be a commemorative key chains. Cash prizes will be paid out to the top finishers along with hiking sticks. Special awards will also be given to the Last Ass and Nicest Ass. The awards ceremony begins at 2:30 p.m.
Spectators - stick around for all the activities planned directly following the start of the race. A mini-donkey race will be held for the kids.
After the race start, enter the Poop Pick up Contest - team that picks up the most poop wins! There is a QR code to enter as well. We will also play "Virtual Donkey Bingo."
The Victor Elks Lodge will be cooking on the porch all afternoon and providing a free meal to all race participants and volunteers. Spectators can purchase a meal at the Elks Lodge as well.

The Victor Elks Lodge 367 to aid in their many scholarships, benevolent activities, and charities and the maintenance and restoration of Victor's premier historic gathering place.
There is plenty of race day parking available. In addition, there are spaces available on 1st street for overnight parking of small trucks with trailers/campers, corralling of burros (you must provide your own corral - no human camping), and unlimited overnight camp spaces at the Goldfield Arena.
